Tell me about your role at the HUB24 Group? What do you do?
I am the People & Culture Intern at HUB24 and I work in the People Partnering team. I have been an intern for about 18 months, and in this time, I have been given the opportunity to move within the different areas of People & Culture and learn from different leaders. My current day-to-day varies a lot, doing all sorts of things from administrative work to data reporting!
In your opinion what makes HUB24 a great place to work?
The level of care and interest within my team at HUB24 is remarkable. I’ve found that my coworkers go beyond supporting just my work and performance: they genuinely care about each other as individuals. Our leaders consistently demonstrate this, fostering both personal and career development. Although my perspective may be biased due to my role in People & Culture, I firmly believe that our people are what make HUB24 special. Their dedication to the company’s vision and our workplace culture makes HUB24 an excellent place to work.
Which one of our group values resonates with you the most and why?
Our value ‘Succeed as One’ resonates with me the most. The idea that we are better together is so important in a team setting and helps contribute to the supportive culture at HUB24. Our ability to leverage each others’ strengths is encouraged, helping us to also produce the best work possible.
What is your ‘superpower’ and how to you use this in everyday life?
My superpower would have to be my extraversion! I use this to chat and spend time with people, both at work and outside of it, to build meaningful connections and create a network.
If there was one piece of career advice you could give someone, what would that be?
As someone in their early career, I believe I should mostly be heeding career advice rather than giving it! One thing that I have learned and would pass on to others it to seize any and all opportunities. This involves having a ‘yes’ perspective, where the default position is to be open to learning and development. Additionally, it involves seeking out opportunities – asking for more responsibility, meeting new people, and putting yourself in new situations.
