Meet Sarah, our Training & Relationship Manager from Victoria

@HUBnews

Sarah speaks about how having an external network is hugely important. She talks through her ongoing journey of constantly learning and developing to be the best she can at work and life. Her love for travel also shines through with Machu Picchu being her next bucket list destination.

Tell me about your role at the HUB24 Group?

I am Sarah and I am a Training and Relationship Manager (TRM) based in Victoria. I was the first TRM introduced into the Distribution Team and have been at HUB24 for almost four years. Outside of work I enjoy yoga, cooking, music and love to travel. My next destination will be South America where I plan to tick off one of my bucket list items and hike Machu Picchu!

What do you do?

As a TRM I provide consultive platform training to new and existing adviser practices. My aim is to find efficiencies and add value to our advisers’ businesses by educating them on our platform and how they can use our technology to save time and provide ease for their own client service teams, which in turn allows them to have more capacity to focus on their relationships with their end clients.

What has surprised you the most about the working culture at HUB24?

Our team is like a little work family. We are all very supportive of each other and make work a safe place. I have made many friends within the business and find that everyone is always eager to help where they can. I’m also lucky to be exposed to many working groups that allow me to be involved with other areas of the business that aren’t specifically related to my role. The leadership team is always eager to develop me, a recent example, I was flown to Sydney to complete a day course with Gallup that involves defining your personal capabilities and how you can apply these in your career and life, which I found very insightful.

What is your ‘superpower’ and how do you use this in everyday life?

My superpower is the ability to build strong relationships. My role is a relationship manager, therefore building trust is key with my clients. This also enables me to keep and expand on my internal network and support within HUB24, which is paramount to being able to be successful within my role.

If there was one piece of career advice you could give someone, what would that be?

My advice would be to keep up your networks: you never know when you may need a helping hand from someone. I think it’s also important to advocate a good attitude and be able to adapt to change as well as be willing to learn something new.
