Meet Bronte: collaborating with the team to succeed as one

@HUBnews

Bronte is our Talent Acquisition Assistant for the HUB24 Group and plays a key role in managing our recruitment administration. This is her first corporate role and during her first year she was also studying for her degree. Her story highlights the importance of flexibility and how being part of a supportive and collaborative team has helped her and our business #succeedasone.

As the Talent Acquisition Assistant in the Talent Acquisition team, I manage the recruitment administration to support our job seekers and new employees as they join HUB24. I also support our People Partnering team and assist them with all people related tasks. Additionally, I conduct monthly inductions, validate employment checks, schedule interviews, and handle talent-related queries.

HUB24 is a great place to work due to its flexibility. This is my first full-time corporate role, which I started during my final year of university and my manager and team were incredibly supportive. They accommodated my needs for working from home to attend online tutorials, using lunch breaks to watch lectures, taking days off during exams, and leaving the office early to attend academic workshops. This flexibility, along with open communication and support from my manager, enabled me to successfully complete my final year of university.

The speed at which I do my work. I get tasks done quickly and efficiently which is important when it comes to giving candidates an excellent experience as they join HUB24, as well as developing good relationships with new starters and our hiring managers.

The HUB24 value “succeed as one” resonates with me the most because it emphasises teamwork and collaboration. The support and flexibility I received from my immediate and extended team during my final year of university exemplifies this value, highlighting how we work together to achieve common goals for the business and ensuring mutual success for each other.

Take on new opportunities that are presented to you, especially if you are early in your career like I am. It is an effective way to grow and develop in an entry-level role. Also, work-life balance is SO important! Take your annual leave, special leave, and volunteer leave to make the most of your life and interests outside of work.

Congratulations to Bronte who is pictured here after graduating with a Bachelor of Business from UTS.
